Yo-Yo Yogurt has been a neighborhood staple for our family for years. Our boys have been coming here since they were babies, and itβs one of those spots thatβs become part of growing up in the area.

Owner Marqueβ is always quick with a smile and seems to know half the neighborhood kids by name. Over the years sheβs watched a lot of them grow up, including ours. Itβs a simple, reliable place to grab a yogurt and run into familiar faces β exactly the kind of local business that makes a neighborhood feel connected.

π Sacramentoβs Wildest Week?

π Luck is always on tap

5200 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento
With St. Patrickβs Day on the horizon at Socalβs Tavern, this Folsom Boulevard staple is gearing up for an all-day bash starting at 9 a.m.
Itβs a true neighborhood original where the Guinness pours are steady and the "Socal's Library" offers a quiet corner to read with a pipe. Between the $5 pints and the clinking of pool balls, it feels like the living room of the ward. Grab a stool, find a friend, and settle in for the long haul.

β΅ Floating cycle bars and river breezes

1208 Front St, Sacramento
Sac Brew Boat is back on the water for the 2026 season, and there is a certain magic to seeing the city from the river as the weather warms.
These ninety minute excursions from the Old Sacramento docks offer a choice between pedaling a cycleboat or lounging on a tiki boat. Itβs common to spot wildlife like beavers along the banks during a sunset trip. The atmosphere often shifts from a peaceful tour into a lively dance party before docking.
The captains keep things light, sometimes even initiating water fights to cool everyone off when the valley heat arrives.

π A Seat for Everyone at the Table

The Gist: Sacramentoβs arts scene is feeling a little more like home lately. Capital Stage and the California Museum are leading the way with pay-what-you-will nights and $10 tickets for students and staff. These shifts mean a night at the theater or an afternoon at the museum doesn't have to be a luxury, but a regular part of our neighborhood life. From youth poets sharing their hearts on stage to local history exhibits that reflect our diverse community, the doors are swinging wider than ever.
Why It Matters: Keeping our cultural spaces affordable keeps our community spirit vibrant and ensures every neighbor can share in the stories that shape us. Look for the next Community Night at Capital Stage during their upcoming production run for an evening of accessible theater.

The Hornets snapped a seven-game losing streak with an 83-65 victory over Idaho State. Shaqir contributed seven points to the win, while senior Prophet Johnson led the scoring with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Why It Matters This victory secures the eighth seed for our local team as they head into the conference tournament.
