If you like Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and shows like that, you have to check out the new Game Show Studio in Rancho Cordova. It was such a fun experience. We took the boys to celebrate Kat’s birthday, and they run it like a real game show where you’re the contestants.

We went head-to-head against another party and had a blast. I could easily see this being a great option for birthday parties, work team-building events, or just a fun night out.

Our family is competitive in pretty much everything we do, so having a place where we could laugh, compete, and have fun together was perfect.

You can find out more at gameshowstudio.com if you’re thinking about checking it out!

🥘 Seasonal plates and a spectacular wine vault

926 J St, Sacramento

Grange Restaurant & Bar captures that specific Sacramento energy where farm-to-fork is a way of life. The soaring two-story wine vault makes a statement, but the atmosphere remains welcoming for a long lunch.

The Tombo tuna sandwich with pickled ginger and miso mayo is a bright, satisfying pick. And if you’re planning for Easter, their brunch is a local tradition! They even keep a few tables open for walk-ins. It is a lovely spot to settle into a booth and enjoy the downtown hum.

🧗 Your trailhead for weekend escapes

The Union, 6000 Jed Smith Dr, Sacramento

Peak Adventures is the go-to spot for trading pavement for pine needles without leaving the neighborhood. While Spring Break is in full swing, the calendar is already brimming with upcoming wildflower hikes and Yosemite treks.

The bike mechanics and trip leaders are true locals who live for the trail. You can stop by their campus shop for multi-day gear rentals or expert tune-ups.

Mark your calendar for the free open climb on April 9 at the Challenge Center. It’s a relaxed evening of music, refreshments, and a little vertical challenge.

⚾ The Heart of Bryte Park is Growing

The Gist: City leaders just gave the official green light to a $63 million transformation of our historic Bryte Park. The plan brings back a much-needed public pool alongside brand-new baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts, and a cozy 75-seat amphitheater. This investment focuses on modernizing our gathering spaces and creating a cool, leafy retreat for the neighborhood to enjoy for generations.

Why It Matters: This project honors years of local voices asking for a high-quality space where neighbors can relax, play, and find relief during our hot summer days.

What’s Next: Crews expect to start work this June. The park will close for about two years during construction, with the grand reopening planned for 2028.

The Gist: Sacramento International Airport is now home to the nation’s first Starbucks cafe and market hybrid. Located in Terminal A, this new spot combines your favorite coffee orders with a curated marketplace. Alongside travel essentials, you will find a "Shop Local" section featuring treats from neighborhood favorites like Ginger Elizabeth chocolates, The Bee Box honey, and Carmazzi Caramel Corn.

Why It Matters: This unique setup makes it easier to grab a local gift or a taste of home before heading out on a journey. The airport is finishing up a multi-year project to bring even more Sacramento-based businesses into the terminals for travelers to enjoy.
